You discover amazing treasures you forgot you had when packing. Take these for example:
These beauties have moved with us 4 times already. And never get used. But Chad refuses to part with them. I've tried "forgetting" to pack them. I think I've even left them in the trashcan before, but somehow they always end up in our new location....Chad insists that even though he's had them since he was 11, he'd still pick out the exact same ones today if given the choice. Today I told him that they probably don't fit him anymore, so he WD-40ed them and took them for a test drive. Unfortunately they do still fit, and thanks to WD-40, still work. So I think I'm going to have to pack them for a 5th time...unless I can think of a clever way to forget them. At least they got used once at this house.

katie, i'm going to have to side with chad on this one! i too have my rollerblades (and the original box might i add!) that we have been hauling around for the last 8 years of marriage! everytime brandon finds them he instantly gets bugged and then i get to hear how i'll never use them and that i should just throw them away! but as always i tell him that if i keep them i won't have to spend the money buying new ones later! for some reason he doesn't think i'll pick up rollerblading in my 30's! good for chad. the neon green is 'totally rad' too! where are dr. brown's knee and elbow pads???
Those rollerblades have a special place in my heart. I rode those puppies for 2 years while he was on his mission and I have to say I was a little sad when he asked for them back after he got home. They are classics.
Willie has some cherished junior high memories with those too. Looks like you're never going to get to part with them.
Ha, that's classic. I've learned that guys are really weird and sentimental about some things.
Don't give them up Chad. I have mine too let's roll!
