Our Third Texas Halloween
Hard to believe we've been in Texas for 3 Halloweens now. I will say one thing, those Texans sure know how to do Halloween... Each house we went Trick-or-Treating at Chad would comment on how festive their decor was, "Wow, they did a good job!" (i.e. they have a lot of inflatables), or "Wow, they even have music!" or "They have their smoke machine on! I forgot to set mine up!"
I showed Rylee how to organize her candy. She was sad when her massive Sugar Daddy didn't have a "buddy" to go along with it. I gave up and let them have free reign with their candy after they each ate a bowl of oatmeal this morning.
Our neighborhood loves a reason to party. Our friends ordered pizza for the who cul-de-sac , there was a portable firepit, and I'm pretty sure a margarita machine.
The house behind ours had put together a haunted house in their garage. The neighborhood had a planning meeting 2 weeks ago about it. The theme was "An Emergency Room Gone Wrong."
We ate BBQ (which is a phrase that only makes sense to me because I now live in Texas) with our neighbors before Trick-Or-Treating. I like Avery's expression i this picture.

i used to organize my candy too! that made it a bit depressing after a while, though, to realize how many people had handed out dum dums. crap candy.
I can't believe you've been there for 3 years, that's crazy! Your girls look adorable. And just wondering, how many Halloween inflatables do you guys have?
we've really only been here 2 years, but for 3 halloweens. we only have 1 halloween inflatable... but also a giant mechanical spider, a set of bones, and ghosts that light up around our flower beds.... now christmas inflatables, that's a different story...
Cute costumes!!! And the planning party for the garage haunted house? That is INTENSE.
Wow your neighborhood goes all out, it looks like so much fun!
How fun to have such a spirited neighborhood! The girls look darling!
jealous...
It sounds so great to have such a friendly neighborhood-that must be a Texas thing. It is certainly NOT a UT thing.
So, how many CHRISTMAS inflatables do you have?
Cute costumes! What a fun neighborhood to live in. Sounds like Chad fits right in!
