Rylee lost a tooth and learned to ride a two-wheeler. January was a big month for her. In fact, Chad had taken her across the street to a middle school to practice and apparently she was so fascinating to watch that a minivan driving by hit a curb and pressed down hard on the horn while trying to correct the steering wheel, so cute was she on her bike.
Avery's continuing her road to bagladydom. I had to go find her backpack for school this morning and it was upstairs and filled to the brim with every piece of paper or toy you could imagine. She had packed it for a "strawberry hunt." It had all the stuff she might need. You just never know when you might need a receipt from ABF movers from three years ago.
Izzy is a television addict. I am working to correct this but it's difficult. She also learned to turn the light on in her bedroom and this has made bedtime not so fun. I'm trying not to treat her like a baby and do plan to suck it up and potty train her soon. But not yet.
Chad is in the works to officially buy his practice. Of course, he's been that way a while, so we'll see. Of course, this time it might have a better shot of going through because the practice has been open a year now...
Chad also got to attend a Laker's game courtside. This was not entirely planned... It dates back to a neighborhood party we attended back in August where a semi-tipsy neighbor who was also a Lakers fan said, "Wouldn't it be awesome if we got a courtside seat and then a nosebleed seat and switched off every quarter and split the price?" And Chad said, "Yeah, that'd be fun." And then a week later got an email telling us we owed him $300 because he had gotten the tickets... Huh, didn't know we'd committed to that one. Chad had a nice Christmas for himself then.
I'm just doing my own thang. Drive carpools, wipe noses, fight kids about hair, talk on the phone a lot. You know, the usual. Call me, and I'll talk on the phone to you.

I should take you up on the phone call offer. The only problem is that, for some reason, as soon as I pick up the phone, my children feel the need to scream at the top of their lungs and follow me around the house. You'd think they'd get hoarse one of these days.
Glad you updated. I kept checking :)
Row learned to ride a 2-wheeler in about 5 minutes at Darryl's parents house this summer when his uncle took him out to "give it a try." Darryl felt pretty bad, since it was obvious Rowan had been ready for a while and we just had neglected to do it!
What is it with girls and the bag-lady effect? I remember Rowan's female friends would pack boxes and cases and bags full of toys to cart around our house and I hated it because it took forever to put everything back. Now Scout does it. It's a girl thing...I'm convinced!
You could always call me you know
I'm soooooo dragging my feet about potty training Lyndon. He's practically begging me to start but I'm not excited.
AND Lyndon is such a TV junkie too!!! He would sit there all day if I let him! Maybe we should let the two racals watch tv together all day and just take breaks to go to the potty. :)
