I Hate Poop

For 6 1/2 years now I have been caring for other people's poop. For the last almost three, I have been responsible for 4 out of 5 members of our family's bathroom needs. (Thank goodness Chad is able to take care of his own!). Now Rylee seemed to finally get everything worked out two years ago and Avery made her final rebellion against bathroom independence last year--so now it's Izzy's turn to fight the system.

She seems to want to conform most of the time, which is a good thing--but still can be messy. Like when she came in from playing outside yesterday and let out a whole stream of pee while talking to me in the kitchen and didn't even seem to notice. And just to show me who's still boss both her sisters decided to wet the bed on the same night. Clever. Very clever.

They can rebel against me all they want, but eventually the peer pressure will get to them. Peeing on people's floors just isn't socially acceptable these days.

Do you think there has ever been, in the history of the world, a mother who thinks, "yes! I get to go change a diaper!"? I don't think so either. But then you consider the alternative...cleaning it up off your floor or out of their underwear, and suddenly, changing a self-contained, disposable diaper doesn't seem so bad. That's why my kids don't potty train until they are 10. (kidding of course)

Skylar peed her pants three times the last couple days and Evan wet the bed three nights in a row. I think we are past that little pee fest now, but it was fun to have a little extra laundry to do!
