Chad:
- FINALLY officially purchased the practice. Hallelujah!
- Continues to shake up his exercise routines and has done P90x for the past few months
- Completed a sprint Triathalon on Labor Day in a see-through white tri-top from the clearance rack. And then proudly wore his participation medal to a party we went to that night to celebrate.
- Began teaching early-morning seminary at the end of August. The first time I actually worried he might say no to a calling, mostly due to his threatening to do so!
I feel like I'm writing a Christmas card, but I guess I'll keep going.
Me:
- Survived summer. Enough said.
- The reward for surviving summer is having all three in some form of school. Oh, the gloriousness that is Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday!
- Trying to talk myself into a more strenuous form of exercise. Doesn't seem to be happening.
- Had a glorious trip to California and saw family and friends galore
- Attempting to gear myself up for Try #4 for a male heir to Chad's [non-existent] Estate. It's not going so well. It's just so fun to go places alone on TWTH. Or even to sit in the house alone! Silence is golden people.
Rylee:
- lost more teeth
- spent the summer with one eye dilated in an attempt to fix her vision
- started first grade
- started her second season of soccer
Avery:
- Wrote a rousing ballad during our car drives in California entitled, "Sisters and a Boyfriend Are the Best." Avery takes the lead and Rylee sings back up, which basically entails repeating whatever line Avery said back to her in a sing-song voice. I think they have a future. Sample lyrics include: "When you're hanging from a cliff, your sister or your boyfriend will help you back up. Cuz sisters and a boyfriend are the best!"
- started last year of preschool. Everyone in her primary class is in kindergarten except her. So sad!
- likes to boss people around
- started her second season of soccer as well and thank goodness has a way more relaxed coach this go around, hence no more crying!
Izzy:
- gets treated a lot younger than she should
- started her first year of preschool. I've never had a child more eager to go. She cries on the days there are no school.
- tells me she loves me hundreds of times a day. Sometimes ending with, "I don't want you to die." Nice.
- Is damaging the hair at the crown of her head from pulling her hair ties out a la her sisters...
Sorry this is so boring. Just wanted to get something out for those of you who have been dying without me. If this doesn't exhaust me completely I'll add some pictures as well. You're welcome.

Hooray!
That is the best song ever-sisters and boyfriends. Write it down, send it to Lady Gaga or Fergie or something. Bam! A million dollars.
But then you'll REALLY have to consider trying for an heir because you'll actually have an estate... So, it's a toss up.
You crack me up. Love Avery's song... I think Katy Perry could have a hit with that. And good luck with attempt #4! If you're successful, please share your secrets. We need more blue around this house too! :)
On the whole trying for an heir thing, how 'bout you send me your girl #4 and I'll send you my boy #4, and then we can both get what we want. You game? Because I have serious concerns about our ability to produce girls....
I'm freshly off the floor where I was rolling around laughing about Chad teaching seminary. Ha Ha Ha! Don't know why that's so funny...words escape me.
Is it sad or funny that Darryl couldn't teach if he wanted because he's already at work at least an hour before seminary even starts? I think, unfortunately, is not funny. And I cannot laugh at it (I know, I was going for an Elizabeth Bennet-like line, it's no coincidence).
