The Loot

My mom got them a bunch of stuff from the Tangled movie. Boy were they fascinated with Rapuzel's hair...
Princesses are a big part of our lives. Hence Izzy hugging to death a set of Princess books from Aunt Becky and Uncle Daniel. Um, don't you wish that was your castle? Santa got that on a whim after standing in a 45 minute line at the Disney Store Outlet Thanksgiving night. Each time the line wrapped I got a better view of it and finally I just grabbed one. Pretty much coolest dollhouse ever. Has an elevator AND a spiral staircase. This pretty much accounts for why I never saw Izzy the entire day on Christmas.

The girls made out quite well this year. Too well. I think Santa might have to scale back next year. Santa got a little confused about what had been purchased and for whom. In fact, a few days after Christmas Santa realized that something in someone's pile should have been in someone else's pile. Oh well. Chad and I have had fun playing with all the toys after the kids go to bed. Super Mario Brothers on the Wii, anyone?

It almost seemed like an 8-year-old boy lived with us too, due to the remote control car and helicopter that found its way under our tree. But I guess those went to a 32-year-old boy. I'm kicking myself I don't have pictures of that. All in all it was a great year for us. The girls are at a perfect age for Christmas; it doesn't even occur to them that there's an option not to believe. We missed our families this year, but hopefully we'll make it out to California next year.
