  • Dr. Botox sold the practice (for $626,000)--a ridiculous amount of money for a practice that has about 4 patients. So Chad is out of a job. And everywhere I go we are still reminded of it, from the bleaching trays I need to drop off to friends who made up those 4 patients, to the junk mail circular that came in the mail yesterday with an ad for Denti-spa with Chad's name on it. Ugh. Mostly I hate having to get the word out to the ward not to go there anymore after we spent so much time promoting it.... By the way, Chad talked to the new dentist owner, and they are dropping the whole spa aspect--which is what we would have done.
  • Avery is adjusted to her bed (although sometimes I peek in to check on her and find the bed empty, so I have to be careful where I step because she'll sleep in weird places--like the floor or the glider...). Next comes Operation Move to Rylee's Room. That's going to be huge. Not looking forward to it.
  • Baby countdown is between 5 and 6 weeks (depends which date you use, my real due date, or my intended induction date). Name game is not going so well. I'm holding out for Macy, Chad likes Debra after a favorite aunt who passed away. Possible compromises include: Alexis (Lexy), Lauren (just for your girls, Annie), Debra as a middle name, and that's pretty much all we got so far. So send suggestions our way! We are getting desperate. I refuse to leave the hospital with an unnamed baby a la Rehrer style!

I still think that Paisley is cute-it even sounds kind of like a Katie name. I'm sorry about the practice-what's the plan now? I'm still thinking that we both move next door to each other in San Antonio. I'm serious...then Jak and Avery go to elementary school and chase each other on the playground and then eventually date, unless Rylee goes for younger men-no promises about his maturity level. I love planning ahead :)

Oh Kate, I'm so sorry to hear about Dr. Botox. Like Beth asked, what now? I'll give you a call...if I ever find my cell phone charger.
Hm. Debra. I echo your hesitations. If you did end up naming her Debra, Little-Debbie-Snack-Cakes makes an awesome nick-name. Ok, I changed my mind. Name her Debra.

hey hey, i'm reading this! and you know what, it's worth the wait when you can come up with a nickname like Boo... and avoid the name Becker! (shsh because poor sweet Grandma Becker still doesn't know!!) good luck with the name, just don't let Chad take over and try to sign all the papers in front of you...naming the baby on his own! but you know, you can always call back the next day and change it if that's the case!

So sorry about the job! That's a bummer! I like Macy, it's cute, but I'll keep thinking to help ease your stress level!

I wish I had some wealth of knowledge for ya....in names OR work. That stinks about the practice. Names...hmmm...IF and that's a big if we have another and it's a girl I am partial to the name Karly for now. Macy is cute too (except that it kind of makes me think of Macy Gray and she's weird) but then again I could get over that. good luck!
