Okay, dilemma.... We like the name Brooklyn. Our last name is Brown. Does Brooklyn Brown sound too much like a baseball team? Do you think she'd ever forgive us?

I like the name Brooklyn. I don't think last name matters much. Most of the time everyone goes by first name only. Brooklyn Brown sounds good. I think Brook Brown sounds a little funny.

Remember Brooke Anderson from BYU? She married a Brown (that's a little ironic in a way), so now she is Brooke Brown. They have a little girl and named her Brinley-Brinley Brown. I don't think it sounds bad at all. She'll get married someday and her last name will change anyway. I really like the name Brooklyn-it's cute!

I know I said I didn't like the first and last the same, but Brooklyn doesn't sound bad because of your two syllable rule! Brooke Brown kind of sounds like a newscaster, but that's ok too, it's good to be a professional woman! Eric said it sounded "fine". He's the picky one too!

I like it. I don't think it sounds bad to have a first and last name start with the same letter, besides, my idea is...they'll eventually get married and if they marry someone else with a b last name it's their own fault :)

In my baby name book, one of the methods for picking out a name is picking a first name with the same initial as the last name, like Annie says, alliterations work. =) It's a very cute name. Plus, when she gets married, she'll get a whole new one.
