10 years ago:
I was a senior in high school. After getting into BYU, I dropped math and physics and added 6th period off-roll. I had a weird obsession with Gap clothes, especially sweaters: I was stocking up for the Utah winters, which ironically, I ended up hating (and rarely) wearing sweaters in Utah because the indoors was always kept so warm with heaters.
5 Things on my to-do list today:
1. Finish up my YW lesson and make calls to some of the girls to have them take up time during the lesson describing objects that remind them of home (hey, it's in the manual!)
2. Vacuum and wipe down countertops (I know it's Sunday, but our landlord is bringing someone to look at the house)
3. Shower, dress, and do the hair of 4 out of 5 people who live here for church
4. Pack a really good church activity bad because Chad's speaking in Sacrament Meeting and I'm on my own with the kids
5. Probably bake cookies to reward myself for getting through this day
5 snacks I enjoy:
1. Hot Tamales
2. Handfuls of chocolate chips straight out of the freezer
3. Dreyers Butterfinger Ice Cream
4. Kissing my babies' cheeks
5. Kit Kats (I only snack on junk food if I'm going to snack)
What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
1. Payoff all outstanding debts, e.g. student loans, car, future mortgage)
2. Furnish my dream home
3. Fix myself back up (get my hair colored regularly by someone amazing, get a personal trainer, a makeover and an all new wardrobe)
4. Fix up my husband and my kids' wardrobes, no more Target clothes for us!
5. By Chad his dream dental practice (and I'm thinking the order I'm listing these is the order I'd actually do them in...)
6. Get a personal chef, and a maid, and a gardener (okay, now I'm getting greedy)
7. Start up a philanthropic foundation (there, I redeemed myself)
5 places I've lived:
1. Los Angeles, CA
2. San Diego, CA
3. Provo, UT
4. Baltimore, MD
5. Austin, TX
Jobs I've had:
1. Babysitter
2. Computer class T.A.
3. Writing Tutor at BYU Writing Center
4. Various writing and editing internships
5. Administrative Assistant and The National Museum of Dentistry
6. Babysitter, oh, I mean Mom...
5 Things You Don't Know About Me:
1. I was a finalist for the Church Magazines Internship and have sold two articles to the New Era
2. I didn't like my wedding dress that much
3. My face sweats when I eat spicy food
4. In third grade I stole rocks from a little boys' rock collection that he brought in for show and tell
5. For all my English-majorness, I've basically subsisted off of Entertainment Weekly magazine for the past year, pausing briefly to read Atonement by Ian McEwan, then right back to EW
I tag all those people whose blogs I don't feel are updated frequently enough, namely: Gaby, Kelli, Darice, and Amanda Jergensen (can't remember your married name right now), and anyone else in search of blog filler...

Your posts always crack me up. I love your list of things you would do if you were a billionaire... I think my list would look VERY similar!!
Katie- I also stole rocks from a classmate in the 3rd grade!
I just like that she still has me working at a dental office, even though she has a billion dollars.

Chad, I was very disappointed to see that you beat me to comment about you working with a wife that had a billion dollars. We all know that you do it for the love of dentistry. I'd be concerned that if you won a couple thousand bucks you'd close the office doors for as long as possible. Yes, you did see me in a Yankee hat. Working near "The Stadium" I have been completely brain washed. I watched all 162 games on the Yankee network. There is nonstop Yankee talk on the radio. I even supported A-rod when he cheated (unlike Kobe, who I tore apart). If you do get a billion dollars you're still welcome to come out. I'll buy you a matching NYY hat.
Look, I'm busy and important, and don't have time for my blog ok? Just kidding. As for the spicy food, I can attest--I've seen the sweat. You didn't mention red hots, but they're in the same category.
Chad, considering your "working life" is really just a bunch of play broken up by a few constructive hours of work, I'm sure you would find away to continue your talent of mixing fun and work. I've been to one of the practices you worked at. I've seen the video games there. You're not fooling me!
Katie- It was fun to catch up & see what your family is up to. Thanks for the link to your blog.
PS I remember all the sweaters in High School:)
