Things I never thought I'd:
-live in the south. Twice.
-hear my daughter say, "Yes, man." (ma'am is what she's going for I guess. Thanks again First Baptist Church)
-pay $170 in doctor office co-pays in one month
-not sleep for 8 consecutive hours for 5 years straight (and counting)
-buy a brand new skirt only to have it candy-slimed by a two-year-old twenty minutes into church and not think twice about it
-have to deal with my four-year-old threatening to kill, "break", or "crack" herself when she's angry at me and doesn't get her way
-or rip out her hair....
-of which she worked so hard to grow...
-see a tiny centipede crawling on my living room wall (or house geckos for that matter) and not freak out
-see the day I no longer found Valentine Candy Hearts yummy
-hear my daughter sing "J-E-S-U-S" to the tune of "B-I-N-G-O" (more thanks to FBC)
-hit the emergency room so many times with kids
-do so much laundry everyday
-listen to so much crying and whining
-be so content with it all

LOVE this post, Katie! It made me smile. Especially the Baptist influenced ones...

This list cracks me up, and if you are referring to Maryland as the south, just so you know most southerns do not consider Maryland the south.

Rylee and I should sing songs together...we probably know all the same ones :) Can't complain about the "ma'am" thing, it's very polite it is a southern thing though...

i find "ma'am" highly annoying. and rylee doesn't say it to be polite. she thinks it's funny. as do i.

I will never come close to your bullet posts. Although I may try.

Yes, being a mother does amazing things -- I never thought I'd put on a shirt with chewed up cracker stuck to it and wear even though I noticed it was there.

Loved the J-E-S-U-S to bingo - that's hilarious! Evan threatens to injure himself, too. I'm glad to know it's normal! Before you know it, your kids will be talking with that southern twang! Ha ha!

Why is it that sombody else's stuggles make us laugh and feel better? I have never thought of changing up the BINGO song with JESUS. Does Rylee tell you to have a "blessed day?"
