Rylee's five. I'm getting older. It's all so depressing. We had a Fancy Nancy Tea Party for her birthday, and mostly I'm glad that I'm all done with birthday parties for a long, long, time.
Everyone came in her "fanciest ensemble." I'm trying not to be offended that I had to call one girl's dad to come pick her up because she couldn't stop crying about wanting to go home. The party was not that bad!

I think I'll be cleaning up hot pink boa feathers for the rest of my life.

at my little sister's bday parties, amanda i-don't-remember-her-last-name would always sit and sob like we were asking her to eat fire. some people "just cannot handle a party of pleasure." "frailty thy name is [little girl who won't stop crying]."

happy 5 year anniversary of motherhood. tell chad i think whenever the eldest child has a bday, the mother must go out to dinner and purchase a new sectional or rug in honor of the day she boarded the ridiculously wonderful yet ridiculously hard train of which there's no getting off.

and chad can come too; he did board that train with you, after all.

Looks like a great party. I wouldn't have bawled if I got to dress up in fancy clothes, get free food, and hang out with a bunch of girls. Sounds like a good time to me!
