Jealous

I am insanely jealous of the cute little asian couple that lives next door. They have TWO sets of grandparents living with them. Now all day long I see all four grandparents walking their ONE toddler around the neighborhood, and yesterday and today they all worked together to put stone borders around their trees and flower beds in their front yard. Come to think of it, I haven't seen the mom once since all those grandparents moved in. She's hibernating in peace somewhere.

I'm sure it's not all peachy keen with that many people living in one house. But wouldn't it be nice to have all that live-in help?

Side note 1: A demon possessed Avery two nights ago and she cut off a good deal of her own hair. I thought she was way too old to attempt that kind of shenanigans. She was going for the Kate Gosselin haircut, you know, where it's spiky at the part... That's where she cut it, down to about an inch long so it sticks up all along her part. Luckily she left the underneath section. It's because she knew I had our family pictures scheduled in two weeks for my photo wall. She wanted to make sure she stood out. We are attempting to tame her hair to now part on the right instead of the left. It does not want to be tamed.

Side note 2: Rylee lost another tooth.

Side note 3: Izzy has mastered the potty, and much better than my other two ever did.

Side note 4: One week one day down on the South Beach Diet, 6 days to go. I'm hoping to lose 5 more pounds so that I can safely gain back 2 when I go back to eating normal food again. I think that is a somewhat lofty goal though.

Side note 5: My sister Tricia is coming to visit me on Saturday! I am planning out our extended weekend o' fun!

Crazy she cut her hair, I'm glad Ashley didn't manage to do that (at least not yet!). Did you get my message on Facebook about your camera? I bought the Canon S90 today but I'm still curious as to what you have :)

good job on the diet!! I keep starting south beach and then cheating within an hour. I hate diets.

I have that South Beach diet book-not sure if it's ever been opened before, but if I own it shouldn't I get a little skinnier? Nice job on the losing weight Kate!

Sorry about Avery's hair. Aren't kids fun?

Oohhh, sorry about Avery. Little stinker. One year before Christmas pictures, Brett bleached his hair some shade of awful. My mom made him wear a santa hat for the pictures! We still laugh about it. If nothing else works, slap an Easter bonnet on her and call it good.

You have the best stories. I am dreading potty training Annie, maybe because it was a nightmare with Natalie. But I have to do it before preschool in September...ahhh! Hope it goes as well as it is with Izzy.

Oh Avery... sorry to hear about the haircut. I've decided that I need to keep all my scissors under lock and key since all Ava sees me doing all day is cutting hair. I know soon I'll be telling this same story!

Since I am now home with lots of time on my hands I need people like you with good blog stories! I need pictures of Avery too. I used to try to trim my bangs and it never went well. Good luck with your diet. I'll need advice on that front in about 4 months!

Avery would fit right in here in PA. Send her over.

Totally jinxed myself...just realized Ashley "trimmed" her hair!! So. Mad. Luckily it's only a couple of inches on 1 side...going to take her to the haircut store tomorrow :(

We have the same deal with our neighbors 2 doors down from my parents. Well, they only have 1 set of grandparents, but it still does the trick! The dad works, it seems the mom works part time, and at any hour of the day you see a quiet, tall, slender, elderly chinese man and a quiet, short, pudgy, elderly chinese woman slowly following around their little china doll granddaughter with the blunt bangs and crop of chin length black hair (oh how I wish I could have fat asian babies!) pushing around her doll in a stroller. They stop and look at snails and flowers they pass, and she points at things, and she seems to know that they're older so she can't throw tantrums or they'll be "dishonored" somehow.

The End on that.

And I cut off my bangs and kept going to the hair 2 weeks before kindergarten pictures were going to be taken. Nice.
