I HATE COOKING DINNER IN THE SUMMER

I just had to get that out. Now back to wandering aimlessly through my pantry looking for ingredients I don't have because I refuse to go to the grocery store with all three children in tow now that school's out. Blah!

And turning on the oven. I would grill if I could, but I've purposely stayed ignorant of that skill.

I just called Brandon at work and told him to bring home a pizza because my cupboards are also bare for the same reason you mentioned. Who knows when he'll be home. We could be eating a cold pizza at 9:30. Summer brings out the dysfunction in me. Not that it's very hard to do...

My thoughts exactly. I plan to serve as many varieties of cold sandwiches and salads as I can this summer, as I hate cooking over a hot stove when it is 115 outside (which it was today, no joke). Although, I have a hard time believing that any daughter of Becky Neuenswander hates to cook!!

Sorry I failed you when you tried to call for ideas!

Ditto...Ashley always says "Awww, it's too hot for that!" when I tell her what I'm cooking. Then I just tell her to eat cereal if she want to complain...that's cold :)

I just gave Jack and his friend 5 grapes to share as a snack because that is all we have....maybe Matt and chad can go to the grocery store for us!

Summer is a hard time to cook, I totally agree. I can't imagine having to go to the store with three, I think I would just go at night instead. Are you guys coming to visit us soon??

Funny...we have the same problem down here. I tried it once and had to call Chris to come help me at the store before I lost my mind, so Amen to that sister!
