Not Holding Anything Back

I'm pregnant. I'm sick. I threw up in a clogged toilet today because Chad didn't have time before work to fix it. The number on the scale at my first OB appointment was the same number that I saw the day I came home from the hospital after having Rylee. I didn't get to go to California this summer. My children watch TV all day and are bored out of their minds. Texas is in a massive drought and super hot. We found kittens in our backyard that are both a blessing and a curse. I went on a cruise in June that contributed to that large number on my weigh in. I still have a month until school starts. Rylee knows I'm excited for school to start which makes me feel like a horrible mother. My kitchen smells and my house is trashed.

Thanks for motivating me to NEVER GET PREGNANT AGAIN. That's pretty much exactly how my last pregnancy was, minus the cats. I'm so sorry that you're feeling so awful and that you didn't get to visit your family, that sucks. I hope you feel better soon, I read that once your placenta is strong enough to carry the pregnancy without the hormones being so high you feel better, and since I was sick until 19 weeks with my 3rd I really wanted to cut that shorter with my 4th so I drank 3-4 protein shakes a day and was better at 17 weeks. The protein shakes and Mtn.Dew were the only things that helped this last time, which also packed on the lbs before I even started gaining real baby weight, but I think it was worth it. Hopefully that helps??

Ahhh! You're pregnant! So excited for you! The fact that you put that first means all the rest doesn't matter (except I'm bummed I keep missing you in San Diego.) Can't wait to hear more about your pregnancy!

High 5! I haven't even finished reading the post yet, I just squealed when I read the first line and had to say congrats. This is awesome. Will Chad finally have his heir?? Ok now to finish it.....

Congrats Kate! Sorry you are so sick-that sucks. And exactly the reason that I've only done the pregnancy thing. Well, that and the fact that then you have to listen to children scream for five years straight. Even if you didn't get to see your family this summer, maybe the consolation prize can be seeing me?

Darn Chad and those clogged toilets.

Congrats Katie! I hope that you get to feeling better soon- just picture that cute little angel baby in your arms and how nice it will be to snuggle with them while all the older ones are away at school! It will all be wonderful! Feel free to email anytime you feel up to if you need to vent- I totally understand!!!

oh kate. that bites. not that you are pregnant (yay!!) but that you are barfing in clogged toilets. and summer kinda sucks in general. i can't wait to shove my kids out the door for school in a few weeks - so you aren't the only one. :) get better! give us more baby updates when you are up to it!

How about Grandma Becky comes to visit, spoils your kids rotten for a week or so, while you check into a hotel and puke in non-clogged toilets?? Congrats on the pregnancy, hope you see *blue* this time around!!

I'm not sure whether to say congratulations or I'm so sorry first, as both sentiments are so very applicable here. I hope the nausea gets better soon. I sympathize on the weight issue. I am STILL trying to lose some of the weight I gained from my first pregnancy. How's that for pathetic? Also, if it makes you feel any better, I feel like a bad mom at least once a day, on average (and sometimes much more often than that, like yesterday at swim lessons when all the other children calmly accepted the closing of the pool due to lightning and mine both threw some variation of a tantrum about it). I hope everything gets better soon!

Oh, and unfortunately we will not be in San Diego this Christmas. :( One of these times, though, we'll manage to be there at the same time, and then I would definitely love to get together.

I'm glad you're pregnant! And so sad for the rest. WIsh I could help you out and then hold that baby after it comes. Maybe if we move to Austin?

Congrats and ugh, so sorry it's not feeling so great this time around. That clogged toilet bit really wrenched at my heart strings (and stomach) how miserable! Hopefully Chad has fixed that by now! and I'm sure 100 + degrees isn't helping anything. Hang in there!

Hey! Finally did some long overdue blog hopping/stalking and saw your big news. Congrats! Being that I am going to have my baby in 5 days and it's way above 100 here, you are going to receive little sympathy from me, but you will receive my excitement. Here's hoping it's a BOY!
