- Today is my big cleaning day! My sister is coming over and my nesting instincts are in full force. I ran the self-clean cycle on my ovens last night. Not a good thing to do. By 4:00 am Chad and I were both awake from the burning smell and had to go around the house opening windows and turning on fans (apparently one window open in the kitchen is not enough). The manual had warned to keep the area well-ventilated and that the fumes could kill birds. So then I lay awake for the rest of the night worrying that I might have hurt the baby. I didn't get much sleep. Not a good way to start cleaning day...
- Induction scheduled for Friday, if they have a bed available. I am dialated to a 1. Woo-hoo! And I got the okay for an epidural. Hopefully I'll actually get it this time!
- Chad is now working 6 days a week--but still less than 40 hours, I think. It's hard on him :). But he was still nice enough to indulge my cleaning frenzy and clean out the garage for me yesterday during some of his free time. I just knew I couldn't have the baby until that garage was organized and swept out. Now if only I could get him to hang the baby's quilt and install the car seat....
- I was ecstatic to hear my children singing this week! Rylee has never been into singing. Most of the time when I try to sing to her or with her she tells me to be quiet. I try not to cry. Avery seemed to be following Rylee's lead as far as singing was concerned, but this week I overheard her singing "school...play...beam" and realized she had learned "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" in nursery. Last night I overheard Rylee singing "Daddy's Homecoming," which I have been teaching the primary kids to sing for the Father's Day Program. I was so proud!

Good luck on Friday-I never thought getting an induction sounded like my kind of thing-I think I would rather be surprised. Less negative anticipation.
Friday?!!! I'm so excited! I can't wait to see pictures and find out her official name. I am sad though, because this means that your blog posting frequency will be at an all time low, being a mother of 3...under the age of 3. Um, you're kinda gonna be a little busy. Sorta.
Yea, it's almost here!! I too am in suspense of what the name will be. I bet you are so happy to finally be getting her out of you. I can't wait and I still have 4 months left...yuck! Good luck with everything.
1. Induction is fabulous.
2. 3 children under 4, not under 3...
3. Ecstatic to finally get her out of me.
Good luck tomorrow. I SO hope get the epidural and it works. Now, epridural are FABULOUS. Get your last night of semi-good sleep ;)I take that back, if you send the babe to the nursery and have a lot of drugs (amazing how those afterpains get worse with each kid...almost as bad as labor, sorry, to say) you could sleep very well in the hospital. I did :)
I remember Chad saying he wanted to be a dentist so he could work Monday - Thursday and go golfing on Fridays. Sounds like he isn't quite there yet. Good luck tomorrow!
Good Luck Katie!
"3 children under 3!"
heehee. I knew you were going to get me on that one... :)
Good luck tomorrow! I am all for inductions. I have only done it that way and they were fabulous both times! Can't wait to hear all about it!
Tomorrow, tomorrow!
I can't wait to meet another Baby Girl Brown. I'll be praying for a quick and epidural-included-induction for you.
You are my hero--the first Northwoods Sixer to have three kids!
