No, Chrissy, haven't had the baby. Just mental blockage. I'm getting induced Friday should all go well. I feel like I've lived at the doctor's office this week between my prenatal check ups, Rylee's ear infection, Avery's dermatologist, and my hematology consult. Just as I was getting excited about being done with all that I remembered that new baby's have to go to the pediatrician all the time for shots and checkups those first months. I told you... brain dead.
And now, an ode to my favorite summer show: So You Think You Can Dance.
Don't laugh. I got hooked halfway through the season last summer when Gaby's cousin was a finalist and also the sister of a girl Cort dated (not strong connections, I know, but I'm not a hard sell). This show fulfills my secret fantasy of being a dancer. I had cousins who were dancers, and growing up Melanie, Audra and I would retreat to the garage during family get togethers to "make up a dance." I always moaned and groaned about it (especially when they made us perform it in front of all the adults), but part of me wished I could dance. I had/have no illusions about my abilities. For me, it is much more enjoyable to watch other people who have talent dance. Which is why I like So You Think You Can Dance, but don't watch Dancing with the Stars... I don't like the superficiality of the lifestyle dancers lead (obsession with body image, etc.), so I will never put my children in dance unless they beg (no offense to all you dancers). Mostly, I am hoping Rylee, Avery, and daughter #3 and I will be able to curl up on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and sigh over Janie and Jeff's moves in Girls Just Want to Have Fun.

Well, I haven't gotten hooked on this show yet...and actually now that the season are over to all my shows I hardly watch TV--so I probably shouldn't get hooked now, though I am sure it would be very easy for me...I love to watch other people's talent. On another note, love the page redo. Cute pics. Good luck Friday!
Love that show-it takes up the void that American Idol leaves at the end of the season.
Ah, Girls Just Want to Have Fun--now there's some memories! Remember when I found the soundtrack in a $5 cassette bin? It was good of Mellie to tolerate us (our lack of talent at least) long enough to teach up a few dance moves.
Good luck on Friday! Can't wait to see cute pictures of little Macy!
Thanks for the shout out! I haven't gotten into anything yet since the season ended, but I'm not sure I could get this one past Eric. He hates dancing shows!
