I've been staring at this page for about 5 minutes now trying to think of something interesting to post. I can't think of anything, but I want to update my page because I know how disappointing it can be to check someone's blog and see the same old post that's been there for weeks (read Elizabeth :)). I know you guys are just crying when I don't update. Anyway, I can't think of anything important to tell you, so I'll tell you a few random things:

1) I went to the mall for the first time today in a long, long while and had a great time, despite my kids' frequent potty breaks. Gymboree was having a FABULOUS sale and I bought my first Gymboree stuff in over a year. In Maryland you could always find great stuff on the clearance racks there, but here there is too much competition and there's never anything left. So that was exciting. And I bought myself a new maternity jean skirt. It was in a much larger size than I normally wear because for some reason designers feel the need to put a lot of spandex in denim. This confuses me.

2) I have had to swallow my pride and do a lot of marketing for Chad's new office. It's having a grand opening cocktail party this Sunday. Yep, I've been having to invite all my friends to an alocholic party that might overlap with the final session of General Conference... I don't know if anyone will come, but I at least did my duty and handed out the invitations. Now I have to figure out what to wear to it--this is truly something I have never experienced before...

3) Rylee is weird. Last night at 4:00 am I awoke to her screaming. I went in her room and asked her what was wrong and she started crying about how she wanted baby Macy to come right now (Macy is what I have told her we are naming the baby, although Chad of course says otherwise). And following Annie's lead, here is a snippet of conversation awhile back when we were at my parents playing cards.
Me: "Rylee, did your Winnie the Pooh movie end?"
Rylee: "Yes."
Chad: "Did Pooh find his way home?"
Rylee: "No. He died."

All right, that's all I got. I'll try to do better next time.

I loved it! Sometimes those are the best posts. I don't understand why designers put spandex in jean material either. They obviously have never met my butt.

I loved this post. Everything about it. I don't know why you think you never have anything interesting to post. You do. YOU DO! I am always disappointed when I go to your blog and yep, the same old post is there. But I reread it anyway just to get my daily Katie fill. So I appreciate this new resolve to post more. May it forever stick.

I love your post with daily happenings in your life. It makes me feel like I've actually talked to you, which for some reason we never do. Good luck with the open house!

p.s. - about the dying thing. I think that might be the age. Here's a snippet of conversation Ruby and I had when we were playing yesterday and it made me think of your post:
Ruby: Ok, Mom you died so now you have to be the older sister.
Me: I died? I don't want to die. How about I just be the older sister and the Mom is at the store?
Ruby: No, Mom! You have to die first and THEN be the older sister.
I think it's the drama of dying. She also made us reinact the scene in Cinderella where Cinderella is out in the garden with her dress all ripped up crying on that bench and then the Fairy Godmother appears and she's crying into her lap. I sat there on the couch and watched Conference while Ruby sniffed and whimpered in my lap for about 15 minutes. It's all about the drama.

This post reminded me of one of our phone calls--random but good! I'll be interested to hear how the cocktail party went. Hope you bought yourself a really super hoochie black maternity dress :)

Also--did you guys decide about Easter?
