The waiting room
There are designated "Child Life Specialists" throughout the hospital whose job is to basically make kids happy. There was one in the waiting room who helped Avery make this doll.

When Avery woke up from her surgery she couldn't stop talking, from comments on all the lights to trying to get the nurse's attention: "Hey, I want to tell you somsing..."Waking up with a pretty smile

It's always amazing to see how much adults complain and moan more than kids. Avery looks great.
maybe i should have taken the course on how to be a "child life specialist" so my children would ALWAYS be happy! she is so cute...even after a big sur-gee!
Avery is such a little trooper. I love her popsicle demands... hilarious. So glad to hear that her surgery went well. I bet you're so happy to be done with phase 1!
