Holidays

Well, we had a very fun holiday season. I put myself in complete vacation-mode. Which leads me to my only New Year's resolution: to clean up--myself, my children, my house. Pretty much everything. We've really let ourselves go around here. I tried to start us off right this morning by trimming Rylee and Avery's hair so they didn't look so homeless, but that didn't go so well. Now they look like homeless people with short hair. We'll keep working on this.

Friday we decided to try some local Texas culture. Things always get a little dicey when we decide to do this. Our friends the Jensens invited us to join in on their planned day of the Snake Farm, Pottery Barn Outlet, Carl's Jr., and Cabella's (?). The only words I ever heard were "Pottery Barn Outlet"...

Below are some pictures from the Snake Farm--which, rumor has it is just a front for prostitution.

Izzy loved all the chickens running around. I did not love all the poop on the ground.
Gazillions of nasty, giant snakes
This kid who was running the place was my number 1 favorite thing about the snake farm. I think it's the way he rolled up his shirt sleeves so that his muscles showed more.
No one knew what kind of face to make at this place...
This was my number 2 favorite thing about the snake farm: The World's Largest Rodent

What a creepy place! I've always wondered what it was like when we've driven past it...

My boys LOVED that place. We always stopped there on the way to San Antonio. I thought the Cobra's were creepy.
