There seems to be a lot of distaste for the rug. So I shall keep looking. For the record, I picked a brown one for the entry so that it wouldn't show dirt. I was going to do a lighter/more colorful one in the family room. 

I hope that everyone is currently researching rugs for me right now. I expect an email box filled with links to websites. I don't want any geometric shapes.

I am currently on a very tight budget--so just picking a color scheme in general, and maybe an entry rug and a future rug for the family room were really all that was on the table for the moment. Just so I could keep my eye out for things here and there that would match. But I still have no base to go off. 

In other news, we had a very eventful playgroup in which one kid found and squished a duck's egg, another found a dead bird and carried it around for about 5 minutes before any adults  noticed, Izzy ate a giant chunk of bird poo that turned her who mouth an tongue green and brown, and Avery fell in a pond and emerged looking like Swamp Thing.
